You may have spotted in-store that the fab people at Innocent Juices and Smoothies are giving away free seeds from now until April to get your littlies out planting and enjoying fresh air and fresh vegetables.
There are lots of different packs to collect - tomatoes; basil; cress; carrots; sunflowers and violets so look out for the promotional packs now.
Innocent sent us a special seed agents pack and a secret mission.
Trust me, she was more excited about this than she sounds, but I recorded the first video on fast-forward so I had to make her do it all again and she was a little peeved!
The next day we got cracking planing our seeds.
Ruby chose to plant the carrots first and we decided to plant them in recycled juice bottles.
Unfortunately we went on holiday so they got a little neglected, but Ruby's done a great job of looking after them now we're back, and I'm happy to report that 2 weeks after planting the carrots, they now look like this.
Ah yes, I mentioned a secret mission didn't I? We're giving you the chance to win your very own set just like Ruby's including a full set of the seeds, tools, watering can and some vouchers for yummy juice.
We've planted some more seeds in a secret location at home and we'd like you to try and guess what they're planted in and where they are. If you pay attention to my blog it may give you an advantage, although the vessels themselves haven't appeared on here before.
I will be dropping clues here and on Twitter as well as updating you on growth progress, so keep an eye on #innocentseeds.
1st Clue: Something old, something new, something borrowed, something blue.
2nd Clue: Talk to your plants. Even in your sleep.
3rd & final clue: These containers are used to holding vegetables, but usually cooked ones rather than growing ones!
If you think you can guess where they might be, leave a comment below before 5pm on Thursday 22nd March 2011. The person that guesses correctly first or guesses closest will win the gardening set and vouchers. Open to UK entrants only. Please ensure you leave a method of contact with your comment.
EDIT: The location and winner revealed!!
Your guesses had me laughing so much! Nobody got it spot on, but I suspect I made it too hard.
The actual answer was my seeds are planted in two tureens I bought from a charity shop, and they are currently sitting on our bedside tables.
The basil seedlings on my side are coming along - if a little slowly.
As for the other ones...well, you've heard the expression 'shrinking violet'? Hmmm.
Nothing. Nada. Personally I blame the old man's snoring.
So, the person who guessed the location first, and the vessel closest, is Molly. Well done Moll, let me have an address to get your Innocent gardening prize sent out to. x
